girlfriend[24F] hesitate to invite me [26 M, together for ~8 months] to his birthday dinner with his friends. Is it unreasonable to feel upset about it?

We have been together for around 8 months now and official insta. (just FYI, we live in the US and all of these friends are also studying in the US) Background: My girlfriend is willing to spend her “birthday” day with me alone, but she plans to host another dinner/celebration with his friends on the weekend (who all know about me). The group is around 8 people (3-4 boys, 3-4 girls) We are an interracial couple (I am Indian-American, she was born and raised in China and moved to the US 1.5 years ago). His reasoning is that if I go to the birthday dinner, people will be forced to speak in English (since I don’t speak Mandarin) and they won’t be able to “fun” as much. I understand your reasoning, but unfortunately I don’t. He does not speak or understand Mandarin fluently. However, I am very appreciative of your culture, food and language and have already been learning it. Happy to give more info in the comments — **tl;dr**: Is it unreasonable to feel upset about not being invited to the bridal dinner due to a language barrier?

It’s a morality have and umpteen of the pieces of entropy in the playscript are extremely insightful – especially ones who are hunt for it. It’s fountainhead inscribed, general and not wrong.
