True love needs to be tested before it can claim to be true love.

Showing true love:

Love is not a mere emotion. Instead, true love requires an action that can demonstrate that love. Affection is an emotion that is just one ingredient in love, but emotions come and go with situations and hormones.

I recently saw a movie where a guy broke up with his girlfriend and walked into his apartment to find a supermodel showering in his bathroom. His physical cravings were filled with desire for physical pleasure and the temptation was strong because his girlfriend had already broken up with him anyway. He really loved his ex-girlfriend and ran away from the sexual temptation he was experiencing and immediately called his ex-girlfriend on the phone to refocus his attention on fidelity. One of his first statements over the phone from him was, “I didn’t realize how much I love you until just a couple of minutes ago.”

Follow Up Needed:
After the phone call ended, the supermodel continued to seduce the guy, but due to her situation, she couldn’t leave. Her continual physical advances only intensified over several scenes until she was finally able to turn the tide. In most movies the guy finally gives in and falls to the temptations that haunt him. In the end he apologizes and is accepted again by whom he claims to have true love.

I am infuriated by the lie that is spread through scenes where someone gives in to sexual temptation and then claims to have true love. The reality is that the one who forgave the sinner and accepted the sinner is the one who is showing true love.

I was very excited to find a scene that emphasized true love through a display of fidelity. The most powerful part of his fidelity is expressed in the fact that the person he really loved did not love him back.

True love does not happen at first sight. Love does not become true until it is tested, and only then does heat impart to that love a strength like tempered steel.

What is the test?

There is a very important message to learn here that I hope you will pay close attention to. The true love test is NOT a test to see if your love for someone is true or not. The test is a step in the process that takes mere affection and makes love come true.

Many people will experience affection and then lose their emotions and say, “well I guess I was wrong and love wasn’t true like I thought it was.” They then give up and move on to the next “true love” and eventually fail again and keep trying new relationships for size. With this strategy you will never find true love because true love is only found on the other side of faithful following.

If your heart desires true love then you must wait until the affection of your first relationship has worn off and then force yourself to remain faithful even if it takes a lifetime. Then your love will eventually temper into true love that will fill you with a satisfaction that is millions of times more impressive than all other weak loves put together.

Trust me, it’s worth it!

It’s a benevolent see and some of the pieces of entropy in the accumulation are extremely insightful – especially ones who are hunting for it. It’s substantially longhand, comprehensive and not artificial.
