Calorie count and keto, about 30 pounds less than my highest level, 15 in the last two months

F29 5’9” SW: 215ish CW: 185 GW: 160 We took our engagement photos in March and I was really horrified by the way I looked. I strategically hid behind my fiancé in each of the photos to hide my figure, but in some of the shots I was clearly in a state where I wasn’t happy, and that was about 10 pounds below where I had started. In early May I went to get in shape for my wedding dress. I looked at the measurements and where they put me was a bridal size 14, and even that was generous because I was wearing spanx. I mentioned that I wanted to lose a fair amount of weight, about 40 pounds, and was told that they could only go down two sizes. They said that I had asked them “what is the absolute latest possible date that I can re-measure myself?” And they said end of June. So I set out on a mission. About a week later, I started counting keto and calories (ideally under 1200). I cheated over a holiday weekend, but made sure everything I ate counted. The scale kept going up gradually, about 2 pounds a week. This was without exercise, mind you, which I plan to get going again in August (greetings ar/pelotoncycle). I took that new measurement a month and a half later. I dropped 1 1/2 inches off my hips and an inch off my waist, dropping a size to a bridal size 12! I am now 30lbs down from my highest and about 20-25 to go where I would ideally like to be, more so if I can make it happen while being health conscious. I took a photo of myself wearing my same engagement photo dress, and was amazed at the difference! (Link in comments) I have noticed so many subtle differences since I started losing weight. On the one hand, I get a lot of energy on keto, I need less caffeine, my sugar cravings are significantly reduced (I have keto cookies, but not to excess), my conscious food choices are healthier (for example, on a day to day basis when I make lunch, I choose to make a salad instead of dreading it), my acid reflux is completely gone, and a few other things I just paid attention to. Overall, if you needed an excuse today to start your journey, I hope this is it. You don’t need to have any specific reason to do it like I do, but you’ll see these kinds of differences from day to day that will make you think, “Geez, isn’t that refreshing?” And I hope it makes you happy as I am today!
